Job Summary:
The Senior Business Analyst, ERP will take an active role in enhancing the support model for a BC post-secondary ERP Consortium. This role includes strategic planning, operational audits, and coordination to optimize ERP services, reduce risks, and support the transition toward a sustainable support model. This role supports an objective to unify and strengthen ERP services, ensuring efficiency and collaboration across member institutions.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Strategic Planning:
· Conduct audits of current ERP support structures, identifying gaps, risks, and areas for improvement to optimize BCNET’s shared ERP model.
· Assist in the development and implementation of multi-year roadmaps to strengthen the ERP support system.
· Provide recommendations on evolving ERP support agreements to adapt to future needs, including potential SaaS models, de-customization, and consolidated service structures.
Governance:
· Assist in establishing governance frameworks and define roles and responsibilities to promote accountability and transparency within the consortium.
· Lead the creation and implementation of standardized policies, procedures, and controls for data management, security, and compliance.
· Organize regular project updates and briefings for key stakeholders, including progress reports and risk assessments, to ensure project alignment with institutional and Ministry objectives.
· Document key governance decisions and lessons learned to support continuous improvement in ERP management, risk mitigation, and governance maturity across institutions.
Coordination:
· Serve as a primary liaison with stakeholders to facilitate clear communication, issue resolution, and alignment of service expectations.
· Coordinate cross-functional working groups and communities of practice to encourage knowledge sharing, standardize procedures, and establish best practices across institutions.
· Act as a central point of contact with solution partners, managing contractual and operational interactions to ensure service quality, fair billing, and adherence to agreed-upon terms.
Operational Efficiency:
· Identify and implement improvements in core ERP processes and workflows, including billing verifications, reporting, and support management, to enhance efficiency.
· Lead initiatives for standardized ERP configurations and system updates across institutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and reducing redundant customizations.
· Monitor ERP system performance, user feedback, and system updates to proactively address issues and keep institutions informed of developments and impacts.
· Support institutions in improving their ERP usage and operational maturity through training workshops, user guides, and on-demand support, fostering a consistent experience across all users.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
· 5+ years as a Business Analyst or similar role in Higher Education, with required experience in ERP systems (preferably Ellucian Banner or Colleague).
· Strong analytical and project management skills, with familiarity in cloud/SaaS models.
· Skilled in requirements gathering, process improvement, and translating complex needs into actionable plans.
· Adept at assessing ERP processes and developing data-driven strategies.
· Excellent communicator with experience in multi-stakeholder environments.
· Proficient in ERP systems and SaaS/cloud-based models. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
· Effective time management, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize, and multitask.
· Demonstrated professionalism and self-awareness.
· Proficient in documentation and report writing.
· Ability to work independently and proactively under the guidance of the Director, STS & ERP
· Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and meet timelines.
· Team player with the capability to work in a multi-disciplined team environment.

Compensation
$78,300.00 - $87,000.00 per year
